One of the world's leading providers of advanced semiconductor solutions uses NoMachine's NX technology to deliver full desktop access to its remote users. Today, more than 700 employees in three locations across the globe use NoMachine's NX technology to access their virtual desktops and applications including e-mail and design tools.

The Challenge

This Semiconductor Company was challenged with the remote access solution they were previously using due to significantly high subscription cost and static features.

The Solution

NoMachine NX was chosen to replace this existing remote access solution for a number of reasons:

Price point in comparison to their previous product was substantially lower and produced significant cost savings
The ever-growing feature set of NoMachine NX software gave them the peace of mind of having a remote access solution that was consistently updated
The ability to test drive NoMachine NX before purchasing gave them a thorough understanding of NX’s features and benefits, compared to other products

The final remote access solution this Semiconductor Company arrived at was a mix of Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX clients that authenticate to both Solaris and Linux NX Servers. NoMachine NX is used to access desktop and server tools such as compilers and heavy CAD applications, as well as GUI interfaces on remote servers, not running the NX software, providing X forwarding and published application access. Up to 300 clients can connect to the NX Server at one time to access their individual desktops and applications.
